I like to think of myself as ambitious. So much so that I have a directory of vocations including (but not limited to) wanting to be:
· a singer
· a guitarist
· an actress
· a dancer
· a songwriter
· a personal trainer
· an Olympian (doing dressage)
· an archer
· a dolphin trainer (hampered by my inability to swim)
· a glamour model (I was 14 and thought it was a super glamorous model)
· a blogger (living the dream!)
· a forensic psychologist
· a clinical psychologist
· a clinically trained psychologist working in a forensic setting
· a personal shopper for myself (I do this now but I would like to get paid for it)
· a British Sign Language interpreter
· a nutritionist
· a lawyer
· a superhero (What?! Bruce Wayne did it)
So pretty much everything I am not doing now.
I write lyrics, although I haven’t done so in months. I tend to get inspired following the break down of a relationship. So I have about 80 albums worth’s of break up songs. Unfortunately, Adele and Taylor Swift got in there before me. I would love to be able to sell my songs but I can only complete them half way. I have the lyrics and the melody (in my head) but I can’t play an instrument or compose a song. So I decided to learn to play the guitar. 10 years ago. Following an 8 year hiatus, I found that my original guitar had given up the ghost and no amount of new strings or tuning could convince it to hold the correct note. I decided to borrow one last year and actually started to learn how to play. I even managed to perfect 8 chords. Thinking that I was nearly accomplished, I found out that there was a minimum of another 39, 992 possible chords that could be learned. Needless to say, I haven’t picked up the guitar for a year now.
My desire to be a nutritionist was crushed after receiving the Consumer of the Year Award from www.justeat.co.uk. And as much as I love throwing shapes, the concerned look from fellow motorists as I rave it up in my car would suggest that dancing may not be the way to go.
Maybe I should try acting. After all, I’m often told that I’m a drama queen.
