Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; I am the last person to say that people don’t have a right to voice them, but most people know to keep their bigoted views to themselves! There is freedom of speech, but generally within reason. I mean, I rarely think before I speak/type but even I know not to share things that might upset other people. For example, I was standing on the train on my way into work and my nostrils were suddenly filled with a strong and foul smell akin to faeces. Instead of vomiting, I masked my horror whilst my fellow commuter had finished his yawn. It is my opinion that this man should try brushing his teeth and using some mouthwash but I kept it to myself. Partially because I was scared that he would engage in conversation and assault my nostrils further but mostly because it would probably be as unpleasant for him to hear as it was for me to smell his breath.
I wouldn’t describe myself as a particularly optimistic person but I think when it comes to me, I have very high hopes. Maybe it’s from watching too many films or day dreaming way too much but I often overestimate my ability to do something. The discrepancy between my imagined achievements and reality are usually the most pronounced when I am having a Beyonce moment. I was listening to music the other day and decided to drop it like it was hot. This was wonderful and I managed to pretend star in about 5 music videos until I accidentally twerked my way over to the mirror. I was presented with the horrifying reality that I resembled a spider that had lost half its limbs to a shoe and the remaining half of its body was shrivelling up and dying.
