About me:
I hate doing bios of myself but apparently it's a must. My name is Ngozi, which translated into English means Blessing. Although I was born in Nigeria, I have been living in South London for over 20 years.
I am the youngest (with my twin brother) of 6 children. As you can imagine, with 8 people under one roof, you have to speak quickly and loudly to be heard. Needless to say, we are a loud and chatty bunch.
Having to compete with so many siblings to be heard in the home, resulted in me taking my incessant chatter to the classroom instead. Every report card received included the words 'has a lot of potential but talks far too much'. Funnily enough, the only times I was speechless was when my father would angrily ask me why I always had so much to say (report card in hand).
I've often found that I have an awful lot to say and not enough people to listen. That would tell most people that they should keep their thoughts to themselves, but I've decided to interpret that into meaning that I should start a blog. If people won't listen to me, then I'll make them read my words instead, ha! And thanks to the internet, my rationalisations and considerations can reach even more people than the ones who run away from me.
The randomness of my blog entries will reflect the randomness of my thoughts. I actually only started this blog following an irritating laundry experience (see my first post) due to the character limitations of facebook and twitter.
I hope you enjoy and please spread the word if you do :-)
